Posts Vs. Pages on WordPress
WordPress websites display written content among two types of page format, posts and pages. Each are similar but have several distinct differences that indicate their specialty’s.
A WordPress post is analogous to something like articles or blog posts. There will be content that will be written and posted with a date. When live, readers can comment directly under the post sometimes for only a limited time. Posts can also show up on an RSS feed. All of this identifies posts as a more temporary part of website that can convey some information but may become outdated quickly.
A WordPress page is a relatively permanent part of a website that is intended to be accessed over and over again, because of that it focuses on content rather than the other social features that posts are intended for. Things like dates, comments and appearing on a RSS feed are things pages do not do.
